Passenger Lift
A passenger lift, also known as an elevator, is a vertical transportation device used to move people or goods between floors or levels within a building. It typically consists of a car (or cabin) that moves along a guided vertical path within a shaft, propelled by an electric motor. Passengers enter and exit the lift through doors typically located on opposite sides of the car. Passenger lifts are equipped with various safety features, such as door interlocks, emergency brakes, and overspeed governors, to ensure safe operation. They are commonly found in multi-story buildings such as office towers, residential complexes, hotels, shopping malls, and hospitals, providing convenient and efficient access to different floors for occupants and visitors.
